Sharla Popadak attended YSU for Social Work and completed her Bachelor's in 2014 and Master's in 2018, and is currently a Licensed Independent Social Worker. Sharla loves working with all ages, however, has a passion for children and adolescent behavioral and mental health. She has worked as a foster care case manager with therapeutic foster homes right out of college. She then spent a few years at Belmont Pines Hospital as an inpatient therapist for those in crisis specifically, although, she also worked with short-term residential, and spent time with those in the residential unit and partial hospitalization program as well. This solidified her passion for learning from and working with youth ages 5-18 and their families, specifically focusing on Autism, ADHD, trauma, and LGBTQ+. Sharla also has a personal passion for those struggling with chronic illness, domestic violence, anxiety, mood disorders (depression and Bipolar Disorder), personality disorders, military and their families, and life changes.
