Hello, my name is Lauren Batcho. I am excited to be interning with Preferred Care Counseling as I am simultaneously pursuing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Youngstown State University. As a counselor trainee, I am dedicated to my professional growth and development, committed to providing compassionate, effective care to my patients, and devoted to positively impacting the lives of those I serve. As each client has unique circumstances, experiences, and needs, my personal philosophy of counseling is to be client-centered; I believe that genuine human connection and developing a strong therapeutic relationship are essential for successful and effective treatment. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, welcoming environment where I provide empathy, flexibility, understanding, and nurturing to meet the unique needs of my clients. I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including individuals from various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. I am currently accepting patients of all ages and therapeutic needs. I am devoted to empowering my clients, providing them with compassionate and effective care by assisting patients in navigating through challenging times and achieving personal growth.
